Jay E. Bray LCSW has over 30 years of experience working with individuals,couples and children. Jay is in private practice in San Mateo and Cupertino. He is an associate at Bauer Shepherd and Ross.
He is a trained mediator and divorce coach for the past 10 years. Jay's practice is divided between psychotherapy and divorce coaching. As a Collaborative Practice Coach he works with individuals toward more effective communication and problem solution so as to assist in resolution of various concerns which impact a client's divorce.
In working with parents a further goal is to develop with them an effective and child centered parenting plan which provides for short term and long term parenting agreements. As a Collaborative Coach he is focused on assisting and facilitating the couples abilities and strengths toward resolution of concerns which enhances their moving forward either individually or in the co-parenting relationship.
Jay is a member of International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and Collaborative Practice of Silicon Valley and Collaborative Practice of San Mateo County. He is chair of the Public Education Committee and member of the Executive Committee in San Mateo and membership committee for CPSV. He is a delegate to Collaborative Practice of California(CPCAL).
Jay is a graduate of Smith College, School for Social Work in Northamption, Massachusetts. He is certified as Couples Communication Specialist in the the Interpersonal Communication Program and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Coast to Coast Mediation Program. He has training in the team model of Collaborative Divorce.
